Bio
Malin Ryberg (b. 1993) is a Swedish visual artist based in Stockholm. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Ryberg's practice centers on large-scale abstract painting, defined by its raw energy and an uncompromising physical dialogue with her materials. Driven by immediate painterly gestures, her work replaces cognitive overthinking with a profound material presence.
By layering dense color and complex, heavy textures, she creates non-verbal environments that challenge the predictability of daily life. Ryberg's paintings act as spatial interventions and visual sanctuaries, inviting a contemporary audience to pause, strip away digital noise, and embrace vulnerability through form and color.
